Monochrome Style
Steven, owner of Prosit Luxus got a change to step into the storefront of Q. Contrary. Mary Zarob is the shop owner and designer.
She is a total straight shooter and have years of experience and formal training making her an amazing resource for picking out some choice clothing for looking good this summer.
Prosit Luxus - When putting together a monochrome look how much color difference is needed?
Mary Zarob - I suggest shades of the same color that look the best. A light blue shirt will look great with navy slacks and so will a dark blue shirt with navy slacks. Most colors in the same family should work.
PL - If your looking to stand out while maintaining the monochrome style are their some more adventurous colors a person should pick?
MZ – You can pick adventurous colors like greens, teals, pinks, and others. You have to love it.
PL - So we have color variations that we can play around with…anything with textures that can bring to drama to a monochrome outfit?
MZ- I encourage clients to mix textures in the same color family. Texture shows detail and bring interest to garments.
